Didn't know he was French, but his actions are typical of one who has erected rigid walls around his comfort zone. Only views that soothe him are valid, all others are either from evil sources or evil-doers themselves. Considering this is exactly what the Muslim Fundamentalists have done, I find Paret to be an interesting case study. He supports a Christian theocracy in the US despite the fact that the marriage of church and state in the Middle East has created the fundamentalists that he hates. Now why would he want that type of fundamentalism to rear its ugly head in the US of A? One can wonder.
