While I don't subscribe to all the conspiracy theories (left or right wing), I've found that some familiarity with their ideas, helps prepare one for subsequent events. Sometimes "subsequent" may be soon. Like during the Watergate hearings, when the most preposterous, laughable ideas in a Doonesbury cartoon, were the following week's headlines. Sorta like reading Heinlein 50 years ago, helped me anticipate the subsequent half century. lurqer
