Waiting for jobs. Economists scratching their heads.

This is part of the problem I have with Bush. He said, what, a few months ago that he was going to create all of these jobs. Calculations said that he would have to create them at the rate of 350K/month in order to get the yearly average up to where he said it would be by the end of the year.

He's already behind by over 500,000 jobs even with the boost from last month and the revisions from January and February. Given that there are 150K new entrants a month into the job market, the residual means that somewhere around 1.5% of the unemployed got jobs last month and who knows what kind of jobs those are?

There are people with post graduate degrees getting hack licenses in NY. I don't know what is going on as a 5.7% unemployment rate sounds very close to "full" employment but something is obviously wrong with the numbers.
