General Mills discloses details of SEC probe (GIS) By William Spain
CHICAGO (CBS.MW) - Food giant General Mills disclosed additional details of an ongoing Securities and Exchange Commission probe late Tuesday. The Minneapolis-based company said regulators are looking into the way it discloses its system of "loading" and at whether it had misstated its policy on product returns. The company had originally received a "Wells notice" of the investigation in February; at that time it said that its practices comply with all "applicable regulations." Shares of General Mills (GIS) closed up 16 cents at $46.82 Tuesday.
