The Whitewater investigation was the lowest point in US politics. I blame those who pushed the phony charges to begin with, thewholly- partisan investigation and Democrats who went along with it. Doesn't matter which party the victim is, no president should ever have his personal sex life investigated while in office. It hurts the prestige of our country, makes a mockery of real impeachable offenses and means crises like Al Qaida had to be ignored while the Starr witch-hunters went about their sleazy business. The only good thing that came out of it was that the GOP congressmen responsible were all voted out of office at the next election.
