On balance, it's best that Bush and Cheney leave the presidency for the good the country. He's lied to and deceived America's people and America's Congress, thus causing many deaths and casualties of innocent people. This is unacceptable for any president and vice-president of the United States. And, who knows, maybe a strong action of this kind might give pause to the growing threat of terrorism; indeed, the level of terrorism which the Bush Administration's unilateral actions have helped to create. Perhaps from such a pause there can become new understandings, a truer sense of diplomacy achieved. If you think about it, this might well be a better alternative than perpetuating what has become a muscle-bound, built-up military that's boxing against shadowy terrorists in a complex world. The fact is, the military solution won't work. If it could, Israel would have won long ago.
