That would put you in good company, IMO.

I don't think we could BEG the UN to take over in Iraq on their terms if we paid them a trillion dollars.

Then I guess we should just dissolve the UN since they obviously are not up to upholding their charter.

What a joke that would be, a bunch of dictatorships overseeing an election for the benefit of the US.

Ironic, isn't it? There will be no election in Iraq, should the US effort fail. There will be far more blood shed, and it won't be by American forces, but between rival Iraqis, acting as proxies for other neighboring states, vying to control the second largest oil reserves in the region.
