Outsourcing is serious but the gaping US trade deficit and government budget deficits nave been handing over control of our economy to foreigners for a long time now. Every year another half-trillion in US wealth goes overseas to folks that we hope will continue to like us and take care of our goodies. All so we can drive SUVs and shop at the mall on our credit cards. Shortsighted, indeed. And most Americans have no clue they are mortgaging away their future - they think their refi is terrific! More disposable income! Gonna be some serious consequences down the line if the Chinese and Japanese ever decide to take their toys and go home.
