GOLDEN GOLIATH RESOURCES LTD. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TSX : GNG March 25, 2004 PR 07/04 LAS BOLAS EXPLORATION UPDATE The Company is pleased to report excellent progress in the exploration of its 100% owned Las Bolas silver-gold property. Since the beginning of the year a total of 13 shallow reverse circulation drill holes have been completed as well as a major program of backhoe trenching. The drilling returned some very encouraging sections despite being plagued by poor recoveries, which ranged from 44% to 66% with an average of 58%. The trenching program included the opening of four new tunnels that have not been entered for over 100 years and allowed for more extensive sampling of the Gambusino mine area, which is still underway. The most significant drilling intercept was in hole B04-03, which was drilled adjacent to the old Arbolito shaft, which is one of at least 15 very old shafts located in the central area of the property. None of these shafts, which have completely caved in over the past 100 or so years, have been re-excavated. Hole B04-3 returned an average of 154.13 gms silver/tonne and 3.22 gms gold/tonne over a width of 40 feet. Included in this section is a 10-foot interval assaying 515.5 gm silver/tonne and 11.1 gm gold/tonne. This section occurred at a depth of 440 ft., at the bottom of the hole which then had to be abandoned due to stuck drill rods. This intersection lies approximately 250 metres north of the Frijolar Tunnel Zone discovered in December. The Frijolar tunnel averages 315.5 gm silver/tonne (9.15 oz/ton) over 115 feet and drill hole B03-11, some 50 metres further southwest returned 326.6 gm silver/tonne (9.47 oz/ton) with 0.04 gm gold/tonne over 50 feet. The old Gambusino mine, which averages 320.69 gm silver/tonne (9.30 oz/ton) across 420 metres of workings lies about 150 metres west of the Arbolito shaft area. The Arbolito-Frijolar-Gambusino triangle has become a high priority target for further deeper drilling because the old dump adjacent to the Arbolito shaft yielded two samples of high grade sulphide ore that the ancient miners had dropped. The fact that the dump samples are sulphide and not oxide material shows that the original source of the mineralization lies at depth in this area. One of the two dump samples was fire assayed at Acme Labs and returned 71,817 gms Ag/tonne (2,082 troy ounces/short ton) and 2.83 gm gold/tonne (0.082 ounces/short ton). This incredibly rich mineralization, worth over US$16,000 per ton at todays metal prices, is what the ancient miners were exploiting at Las Bolas. The Company is highly encouraged by these findings and is currently planning deeper follow up drill holes for the Arbolito area with a larger and more powerful drill. Drill hole B04-11, drilled about 100 metres southeast of the old Arbolito shaft also returned several highly anomalous sections ranging up to 0.46 gm gold and 10 gm silver/tonne. Other drill intercepts east of Arbolito towards the Los Hilos gold mine are more anomalous in gold than values west of Arbolito, indicated a possible precious metal zonation. Several other drill holes also had encouraging intercepts. Hole B04-7, located about 750 metres east-southeast of the Arbolito shaft was the most easterly hole and it returned 10 ft averaging 51.5 gm silver/tonne and 0.95 gm gold/tonne as well as several other highly anomalous intervals. This hole was collared in the area of the old Los Hilos gold mine, which has a 158 metre adit averaging 0.45 gm gold/tonne and 20.85 gm silver/tonne over its entire length, as well as a 30 metre section averaging 0.79 gm gold/tonne and 43.08 gm silver/tonne. Hole B04-8, drilled from the same set up as B04-7 but with a different direction also returned 15 ft averaging 9 gm silver/tonne and 0.25 gm gold/tonne as well as several other highly anomalous intervals. These two holes show that there is more potential at depth beneath these old workings and more drilling in this area is currently being evaluated. Drill hole B04-13 was located east and along strike of the Corazon tunnel near the southern limit of the survey area. The hole was designed to test a resistivity anomaly and returned 146.5 gm silver/tonne and 0.07 gm gold/tonne over 20 feet in the target area. At the bottom of the hole, some 180 feet below the intersection, favourable sedimentary rocks were encountered with anomalous gold values. The rocks at the bottom of hole B04-13 are similar to outcrop found in the area of the Providencia mine, which the recent backhoe work further exposed. In this area two showings have just returned assays of 254 gm silver/tonne with 10 gm gold/tonne and 137.9 gm silver/tonne with 1.1 gm gold/tonne. The old Providencia mine lies about 350 metres west of hole B04-13 and 400 metres south of the Frijolar Zone. These high gold and silver values are very encouraging and need further follow up exploration The majority of the trenching samples have now been sent to the lab and results are expected in a few weeks. The Company is encouraged by these results and will continue an aggressive exploration program at Las Bolas including both infill drilling and deeper exploration drill holes with equipment designed to give better recoveries.
