I agree with Elmat and things are accelerating in that direction>> Do not fret. I believe the situation in Israel/Palestine, after a thousand years of meandering, is finally coming to closure, because the Palestinians/Arabs now understand that they will not get their hearing, they cannot fight, and they can only submit to the more powerfully armed and ordained tribe, as was meant and as the tribe will be forever backed by the designated and always victorious arbiter of right and wrong. As to Iraqistan, I do not for a fraction of a moment believe that the locals can stand up for long, dressed in cotton clothing and armed with puny grenades, to the most powerful military force on the planet, fully equipped with all the latest hardware, software, and fighting doctrine. So, I think there is a good chance that (a) Israel will win every point it needs as defined by its wants, (b) Iraq’s oil will flow, its government will be stable, (c) the US will be able to stay in the region, and act decisively in the eventuality that the House of Saud falls apart, (d) Afghanistan? Side show of no consequence, doesn’t take much money to keep quiescent, (e) its poppy crop harvest was only to be expected, some will be intercepted, and most of it probably will never make way out of the immediate neighborhood, and (d) as soon as bin Laden is captured, democracy is introduced, nurtured via Dale Carnegie type education, the job is then done. The electorates are wise, and will make whatever the right decisions are. Have faith. I am considering lowering my energy allocation in PF, buying some tech shares in time for the peace dividend, part deux, and selling off the gold since paper money is a lot more convenient to spend today, as more money will come my way tomorrow.
