Since Bush hired the ideologues who fed him the bad intelligence and still hasn't fired them, why on earth would you want to absolve Bush?

Incidentally, when people say "Bush", that is often shorthand for "the Bush Administration".

If nothing else, people should respect the office. They don't have to like the man, but he is the person holding the office and they should respect it.
