C2, you may well be right. In the meantime, very mean time, wills are being tested and challenged.

What I think of Kerry is irrelevant. I haven't formed an opinion as I haven't been paying much attention. I'd be in the ignorant electorate category.

My point is that the electorate is going to have a choice and on current polling, there seems to be a fair cut and run vote. Americans are sensitive to body bags when they contain Americans. As are Iraqis, incidentally. 600 dead American soldiers and I suppose about 10,000 wounded, is quite a lot to be sensitive about. Not to mention $100 billion in financial cost [give or take a bit].

If the Cow turns Coward and runs for it, leaving Iraq to sort itself out, I wonder what will happen in the region. There's a LOT of oil there, so I suppose it's going to take quite a shambles to give it up.
