I'm not debating your point ..Why should we excuse terrorists because they are some kind of "victim." I agree, we shouldn't.

Although...

I'm not sure where you get the idea that people are excusing terrorists because they (the terrorists) are victims. Some have tried to point out that there quite possibly might be a more effective way to deal with terrorists than creating more potential terrorists through basically the use of unilateral force. The kind of force that has led to the deaths of many innocent non-terrorists. Diplomacy for instance...policy changes maybe? How does the use of equally horrendous activities further our supposedly righteous cause?

We live is a complicated world and it would be nice to
try to understand the factors that have brought us to where we are. You can believe that it's black and white..we're good they're bad, if you wish. But things generally are more complicated than that. I know ambiguity is a burden for some.

You don't have to answer my previous post's question since I assume it wasn't pertinent to the point you were making...but why not try?

THE LITTLE SOLDIER'S DILEMMA:

There is no such thing as a war hero. When a young man agrees to put on a uniform and march in lockstep, he is a mindless conformist. When he agrees to blindly follow government orders he is a moral coward. When he agrees to kill foreigners his leader points him toward, he is a murderer." --Michael Bakunin

It's a pity that our society has not matured to the point where despicable leaders can no long fool naive young men into doing their dastardly bidding.
