I like his trade policies (he is free trade). I like his fiscal responsibility. And I like that he thinks about issues and can still be very decisive. Fiscal Responsibility - until we see what he really would like to do and how he would pay for it we have no idea if he is fiscally responsible. I am happy with Kerry, beside we will have a Republican House and Senate ... so we will have checks on him. Checks on him: There is some merit to this. However, the last three years have demonstrated that anything less than sixty votes in the Senate is a check. The biggest check would be to control the legislative appointees - perhaps the greatest damage he could do.
