We killed more Vietnamese but we still were loosing. Didn't the same thing happen in our revolution?

Here we go again, letting the pundits snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Talk to ANYONE who knows first hand about the Tet offensive in Vietnam. It was an OVERWHELMING AMERICAN VICTORY. We TOTALLY WIPED OUT the Viet Cong (which is why the NVA had to supply far more troops then planned originally) yet the MEDIA cast it as an American failure and that began the downhill slide to defeat. jdn Oh really......you guys from back then delude yourselves with half truths. Read the history of the Vietnamese War.......it was a quagmire for the American military much like Afghanistan was for the Russians and now in the way Iraq is becoming. You just don't get it........all the shock and awe in the world can not stop an insurgency.......an uprising among the locals.......particularly when the locals hate your guts! We are up to our buttholes in $h*t....thanks to a lot of old timers who haven't updated their military experience since 1964. And now American soldiers are in serious danger thanks to the incompetence of these old farts and their commander in chief.....the idiot prince. I am disgusted!
