I dont think that is correct. I think had we recognized the threat of this new breed of Islamic early on (and I am not pointing any fingers cause I can understand why we didnt recognize it) we could have nipped it in the bud. Sadly we didnt, but we now have NO CHOICE but to fight this battle and win, cause if we lose we are looking at a complete upset of our Western Culture. God, for some unknown reason, decided to put the OIL under their feet. Our culture, and I mean the entire Western Industrial World, runs on energy, and energy spells oil. That will change some day but not in my lifetime, maybe not even in yours. On top of that there are other Muslim Nations sitting on vast natural resources that our culture depends upon. We will not surrender our right to purchase those assets at a fair price. But, if THIS action fails, the NEXT action very likely will be far more LETHAL to the citizens. As to Corporate corruption, excuse me but isnt the BUSH administration the one bringing these people to court. jdn

One would think that after the previous Adm doing nothing much (except for the missiles and the camels with tents) that the type of comment you made above would be gone....and in its' place, some saner thoughts. As I remember it, the market crashed (March/April 2000), and then two months later energy prices doubled (May/June 2000). Could you please link me to information that energy prices doubled in January or February of 2000? re:"Like I said that goes back a long way. I predicted it several years before it happened. I told my Mom that the only suprise about terrorism is that it hadn't happened in America" As far as Islamic Terrorism goes, the reason that bin Laden has been killing Americans, was the presence of American troops in Saudi Arabia (used to enforce UN Sanctions against Iraq). Once American troops were stationed in Saudi Arabia, it wasn't very long at all, before bin Laden was involved in terrorism in the USA (the first World Trade Center bombing and possibly OKC). re: "Israel and Palestine almost had it licked until Sharon. I could see the troubles coming with Sharon a mile away. It started almost immediately." I thought that Sharon was elected because of increased terrorism against Israel. Not because, "Israel and Palestine almost had it licked".
