For Immediate Release Reuters - (April 8, 2004) -

California Workers’ Compensation pays 5 million dollar claim to dead Cal Trans Attorney.
.
A State of California Cal-Trans Attorney defending overpasses hit by passing trucks today was paid 5 million dollars to the estate of his girlfriend.
The Workers’ compensation adjustor ( by condition of anonymity ) quoted by rueters stated she was happy to do it and it was the least she could do to support his gfs’ 3 minority children living in a high rise apartment in San Francisco.

John L. Sellavan 50 , ‘john’ to his friends and gf, was found dead in his armor plated hummer from an apparent heart attack on January 1, 2004.

Workers’ Compensation profits have sky rocketed in recent months do to governor Scwatzenagers policy to only pay work comp claims when the employee actually dies.

Governor Arnold ‘Hummer’ Schwartzenager said in a prepared statement. “This precedence setting case should make all of the workers in California happy. It’s good for employers. It’s good for employees. It’s good for Cal Trans. And it’s good for the president of the United States. For Chrissake.

“Where else but in the free land of California can a worker die and still receive benefits as if he is working.” Schwartzenager went on to say. “I’ve never worked a day in my life. And I can truly sympathize with the workers’ in California who die in order to receive the work comp benefits. It’s no longer an erra where an injured worker actually gets injured. "

"An injured California worker used to call his attorney before he went to the doctor. That no longer happens under my plan. An injured worker must actually die in order to receive benefits. There is no jockeying with the facts.”

My plan is foolproof. The Guvinah went on to say. "It won’t be long before we pay off the entire 18 billion dollar budget deficit with the Workers’ Compensation surplus."

Could it be that most of the nation's 4 million corporations are taxed as partnerships? Or that most of them, being small businesses, are not profitable?
