i would think that they patented the product improvements. not sure. there seems to be some "importance", as IBM is oeming the product. i doubt that it has "already been leap frogged", but the industry is moving fast and the key is getting sales while you're in the lead. hopefully, some of these alliances (IBM, SUNW, et al) will help them do such. i guess we'll know more after next quarter's earnings release (i don't think anyone's expecting much from this quarter and it's always "iffy" as to whether or not we'll get much in the way of guidance).
