Personally I am much more concerned about the erosion of my civil liberties than any terrorist attacks. The likelihood of being a victim of terrorism are lower than being hit by lightning. However the erosion of our liberties are guaranteed to effect everyone of us. I do agree most Americans think the same as you do and thats the real danger. Willingness to allow infringements of our rights is a slippery slope. Do you think at some point the government will just voluntarily stop this process of infringement they will always believe controlling our movements, freedoms are better. It has been happening for the last 20 years, 911 just gave them carte blanche and the public said sure take all you want. Sure seems many folks on this thread have very high expectations that the government is supposed to take care of us, jobs, entitlements, medical care, clean environment, cheap products without outsourcing, redistribution of wealth blah blah blah. What ever happened to taking responsibility for ones own situation and not relying on others. BTW I don't like either candidate they are both dangerous in different ways and will do serious damage to this country, give me more freedom, privacy, and less government in every aspect of my life, I will take care of myself just fine. Lets get back to what the founding fathers intended. I like to follow the creed "If it's to be it's up to me" but that seems to be a foreign concept in America. donv
