zeus, I would say 95% of her testimony was the same as his. It's just that she didn't spit on the floor every time she said the names "Bush" or "Clinton." <G> I think folks are missing the main point. It's not whether these guys were asleep at the switch. They were, as was Clinton, Bush 41 and Reagan. The point is that the current asleep at the switch guy is portraying himself as the hero of 9/11, which is nonsense.

U.S.: No control in two cities
35 Americans, 439 Iraqis dead this week, reports say

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- U.S.-led coalition forces do not have control of the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Kut, where Shiite militiamen have seized key buildings, the top U.S. general in Iraq said Thursday.

Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez said coalition troops -- including Ukrainian and Spanish soldiers -- were in their bases on the outskirts of the cities.

He said forces "will retake" Kut "imminently" and said progress is being made in Najaf. Sanchez said there are still coalition forces in that city and base camps.
