Clear Channel pulls Howard Stern permanently
Radio giant Clear Channel Communications said after the market closed Thursday that it has terminated its relationship with "shock jock" Howard Stern in the wake of a new six-figure indecency fine that may soon be imposed by the Federal Communications Commission. Clear Channel (CCU) had pulled Stern's morning program from its stations in February in response to regulatory pressures. Reports have surfaced this week that the FCC could fine Clear Channel as much as $495,000 for violations related to the Stern show. cbs.marketwatch.com;
