I hope the news media follows up on that FAA warnings claim. Most everyone expected the typical hijacking variety. No one figured it could be accomplished with stone age materials like box cutters either and no one thought the mighty towers could melt down instead of just two big holes. Yet, underneath it all, fundings for several agencies (CIA and FBI included) were being cut substantially and those agencies did not have the manpower to address all the issues. For sure they could not follow up on some of the warnings, not even from the German intel. One question they should have asked the sleeaza was what were the top priorities when new administration agenda were put into effect. That can be verified by finding out which intelligence departments, offices, and specialties got increased budgets and which ones got cut. That should give indications what was in the minds and what were the intents of the new administration. I think that alone would give indication of, if not establish, negligence and incompetency. They were moving or being guided away from domestic security issues.
