All right I will say it damn it! I apologize.

I am sorry I sent that last post but I hope you will understand... I do not appreciate being lumped together with whatever the assignation of the day might be. Nor do I appreciate it when I see the same thing being done to human beings of remarkable and unique character.

Was Lincoln a racist? Most certainly. Did issuing the Emancipation P help him? Most certainly NOT domestically. He certainly didn't have to do it to end the Civil War. And in all likelyhood it made doing so much harder.

I haven't a clue what was in the guys mind, but it took guts and it took a hell of a lot more foresight than I have to do the deed. ...All I know is that if he hadn't done it, I'd probably be rooting for the Idiot Islamists to blow the entire planet to smithereenos.

With Lincoln... as with people generally... you are far better off to look at what they do, not what they say.
