I was watching the Eiger Sanction a couple of weeks ago. It was about terrorist networks, circa 1975. There is no end to movies about terrorism pre-9/11, no end to books about terrorism. Clinton was concerned about terrorists, so concerned, according to Clarke, he was "obsessed" with getting bin Laden. So concerned, it was a top priority issue in the turnover to Bush - who simply dismissed it because his agenda was to attack Iraq. Pipeline Rice's goal was to attack Iraq as well. The fact she sat in front of that commission saying repeatedly that she was unaware of any terrorist threats makes me wonder how she can retain her position when she's incompetent. As she admitted to the Commission today, the first words out of her mouth upon the 9/11 attack were "Get Clarke".
