So far track um down and kill um has only produced more...any more ideas?

You clearly haven't killed enough.

What are you going to do? Demolish the Sears tower and every building higher than a fireman's ladder? Move all schools to old missile silos? Join their Jihad against Israel? Convert to Islam?

Just exactly what is it that you would NOT be willing to give up to make OBL happy?

<<<And let's not do anything about the oil problem until we have long lines and our economy is collapsing...oh yea..I forgot...we had long lines before so we need something more drastic. Long lines at the soup kitchens might work.

The first thing was to recognise we had a problem. The idea that a man will strap on some dynamite and blow himself up while visiting is foreign to us. Or to do a 911.

The second thing was to convince other Nations that they
were going to have the same type of problems. (They already had them, but did little about them )

The third thing was to locate the source of the problem (swiftly done) and then to lead the way, to cast aside all treaties and defeatism thoughts, and use our existing tools to eliminate the terrorists. That lead to Afghanistan for short term threats and to Iraq for longer term threats

I am a pessimist in one area. I cannot see where all terrorist acts can be stopped, even if we get a Gestapo -like enforcement force.

There are warehouses all over the LA area, stuffed to the roof trusses with unknown and uninspected goods. Fireworks,
drugs, you name it. Countless storage units.

There is some bad stuff there already- explosives, perhaps some Stinger missiles.

What we need is time, to learn what works, to find what cooperation can be obtained from the public, what they will
sacrifice in the way of privacy to permit inspection of property while seeking out the bad guys and their weapons.

Body searches are not beyond the thinking here, terrorists have been known to hide dynamite in their rectums- probably learned from the drug traders.

So to answer your question about other ideas, we need some changes in the laws to give the government authorities and Office of Homeland Security the authority to do the job which they were assigned to do.

Lawyers will fight that, people will fight that, and again we will probably be too late. It will take another terrorist act or two in the States to get us completely awake and overcome bureucratic inertia.

I will quit now, as its a Holiday.
