I heard bill nygren of oakmark on cnbc last week- he said that investors should be satisfied with smaller returns going forward given the alternative uses of capital(low interest rates). This conflicts with some study i read which concluded that the huge profits in the market were made by investing when the p/e ratios were much lower than currently exist. any comments?
