I predict two evacuation days to come soon:

1) The US leaving Iraq having failed in its diplomacy to gain worldwide acceptance for its Iraq policy.

2) New Yorkers leaving the city for Crawford look-a-like locations, on the day the Republican Convention begins in New York City.

You obviously have your own partisan slant. Anyone who reads your history of SI posts can easily discern that. Nothing wrong with being partisan. We supposedly live in a democracy and differing views should be encouraged.

I'll be up front...I'm a registered Independent who leans strongly to the left. I agree with you that both major parties have a long and (if anybody is interested in researching) easily substantiated history of favoring their own self-interests over the interests of the citizens that they're supposed to represent. So what you say does not really qualify as an "eureka" moment.<g>

What you seem to want to do, now that it's becoming fairly obvious that G W Bush is under increasing scrutiny after having been given a free ride for the past 3 years, is deflect the inadequacies of this administration by spreading the blame to include every and all previous administrations because..well, they all do it. Very magnanimous..LOL.

The problem is...we have to deal with what we have NOW...this thread is an attempt to get at the truth. It may at times be a bit shrill but the aim is truth. Truth is a noble goal. Neither the republicans or democrats hold the patent on truth. A public forum where people can question the motives of their elected leaders and government is not a bad thing Jake.
