I would guess that your primary oil trading/investment vehicle is oil stocks.

My focus is the futures markets, and I think that may be one reason for the difference in our views.

The price of oil stocks could be considered to be a "derivative of the price of oil," and in that sense trading them is somewhat more complicated than oil futures (stocks are more influenced by "investor psychology").

The situation in Iraq is terribly sad, and it seems that there is no way to solve the chaos that the invasion has unleased.
