russ are you aware of how much copper was hoarded by speculators ? including nice US hedge fund managers and commodities funds which are in physical possession of the metal ? not to mention small speculators starting from few pounds to few hundreds ?

Myself I have more than few pounds of copper in my basement which I not need for my work or maintenance of my home.

Would agree that copper is not a bad investment
