OK, I'm going to leave you this week with a rumor... Basically, I
normally don't get into rumors, but since I'm at the end of the week
here, and half the market is out today... A trader sent me a note
yesterday letting me know a rumor she heard, that China will announce a
change in their currency policy this weekend. This would be done with
the markets all out, and half the market out on Monday, which could
water down the hysteria... Take the rumor for as many grains of salt you
wish to... Me? I'll just say, I'm all for it! Go, baby! Yah baby, shake
it, shake it, shake it like a Polaroid picture!

Great post, Mish. FWIW, I agree.

mishedlo - very clear thinking!

I agree the cost is underestimated, but here is what the government says it has cost:

The very sad part is what we loose when we spend on such priorities. For instance what would America have gained had we instead given the money spent up to this point for almost 4 MILLION four year scholarships? Instead we have only the escalating cost - to repair broken bodies and broken minds.
