re: Dalai Lama ... you can compare the gravity of that with US slavery.. on slavery folks will tell you to move on it's history... in 25 years so will the Tibet issue be the same...

I think you underestimate the Canadian people Mr.Moore.

I would say that if a simple question :

WHO IS THE DALAI LAMA?

Were presented to a group of 1000 Canadians , I would bet that a full seventy percent would give a reasonable response, if not totally acurate if the questions were to go deeper.

Canadians take an interest in their world and are on whole better informed than most , except possibly some Europeans,like the Brits maybe.
