You seem to forget the Clinton Administration had gone up on War footing to defend against AQ. Thanks to them there was no incident during Millenium celebrations. All the wisdom passed on the Bush team was tossed aside by the WIMP and his team.

"Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside US," August 6, 2001 intelligence briefing for the president's eyes. Jake, do you at least agree that, given the above, Washington and New York area interceptor jets should have been on a heightened alert? Do you agree that interceptor jets should have launched from locations closer to New York and Washington? Do you wish to know why the jets that were released, from far away locations, flew at only one-third of their speed capacity? Do you think this is Clinton's fault, even though Clinton didn't have the benefit of reading the August 6, 2001 intelligence briefing and wasn't in office at the time?
