No,no Mary. Investing and being nice have nothing to do with each other. Investing is a skill like opera singing. Some wonderful opera singers are nice and some the opposite. If we want to be nice, and of course we do, then we have to make the money as the first step and then we can help causes and sometimes individuals with our dough. If I get out near the top and some hapless person buys from me at that price, sure I'm utilizing his or her ignorance but from whom do you want me to buy and at what price? This isn't croquet or a tea party. Kindness appears or doesn't appear outside of investment, depending on the person.
