for that matter, we were also having to fight Cambodians and Laotians. Huh? I was in both countries in the 60s. Every native I saw was supporting us or ambivalent.

Be that as it may, compared to the rest Iraq, Sunni Tri. generates a disproportionate amount of trouble. 2/3rds of it, in fact, from a relatively small faction. Decimate it. "...without simultaneously adjusting the counter figures." So, what's an example of a counter figure to adjust? A little enlightenment goes further than a lot of LOL. "Iran knew that the Shiites hated Saddam but were rather surprised to discover that when they invaded southern Iraq, the Shiite civilians shot the crap out of them." If this is an equivalent situation to Iran, wouldn't the same happen to us? It hasn't played out that way, has it.
