Chuck. you said...." lets see what they do with these Japanese and Korean hostages they have taken.".....

Unfortunately I think they will meet the same fate as poor Mr. D pearl. These muslim scum have shown repeatedly that they have no respect for or never show any mercy for any of their victims. I hope they are released but past experiences seem to say the outcome will not be good.

I can not understand why there is not world outrage against muslim fanatics. Why are the streets not full of so called moderate muslims world wide protesting islam terror? Even in our own countries where are the so called muslim moderates protesting in the streets? They sure managed to get out and protest against going after muslim terrorists in iraq.

what moderate and modernist elements are you talking about....this is the year 2004......helllllloooooooo...

The very ones who are currently spending their lives being intimidated by the militants.

if they had anyone with half a brain and a little compassion don't you think they might have surfaced by now....

And be denounced as a collaborator by the militant factions of their society?? Hardly. These people are just as afraid of their own militants as they are of Israeli bombs and bullets.

I placing a bet on the what I consider to be the lowest common denominator of most human beings, to live peaceful lives and provide a better future for their children than they experienced themselves.

If those people no longer exist, then it would seem that it is that much more imperative that something be done. Otherwise, we must accept that fate has place the Palestinians and Israeli on the path of an eventual total war of conquest between both sides.

And I reject that we're at that point yet. But I do believe we may very well find ourselves facing such a prospect within 5-10 years, if we do nothing.
