Americans Convinced Bush Will Raise Their Taxes

April 8, 2004--If George Bush is re-elected, most Americans (51%) believe their taxes will stay pretty much the same. Just 25% believe a Bush victory would raise their taxes while 12% believe it would cut their taxes.

On the other hand, if John Kerry wins in November, a solid plurality of voters (44%) believe their own taxes would go up. Just 10% believe a Kerry victory would cut their taxes while 32% say their taxes would remain pretty much as they are.
