That attitude has precipitated most, if not all of human suffering since the beginning of time...

Riiight, as if you were at the beginning of time. You suffer delusions of grandeur. And you completely ignore the gazillions of people murdered in Atheist Russia and the countless millions of innocent unborn humans who are being literally slaughtered by godless people today. It is not my attitude that has caused most of the world's suffering. It is yours.

I prefer Lincoln's response when he was entertaining a group of ministers at the residence in the White House during the Civil War, and they asked him to 'pray that God be on our side in the war'.

He replied that he cannot pray that with them... but he would ask them to join him in a 'prayer that we be on God's side.
