It's the ones you don't see that you have to worry about, LOL. Guys on the ground say the same thing about Iraq today. And it's undoubtedly true, but it doesn't make a rat's ass.

Don't be so quick to blow off an eyewitness. You want me to be open minded to your thinking...you gotta be open minded to my experiences.

As for the accuracy of your perception, the historical truth is that after we left, both Laos and Cambodia fell to the Communists. Here's some history:

After we left a lot of bad things happened in both countries including the massacre of 3 million Cambodians by the Khmer Rouge.

Sihanouk did turn against us in 1965. In 1969 he did a 100% about face and kissed our butt to restore diplomatic relations in order to get US military assistance. And the Khmer Rouge was not yet a player. He wanted us and we wanted back in to hammer the NVA headed for S Vietnam. Cambodia had become a sanctuary for them.

But that was not your point that I disagreed with. You said we had to fight Cambodians and Laotians. That is not true.
