Reading all the political feces-slinging about 9/11 today was rather odd, as I have been sorting through stacks of papers I need to resolve and dispose of, and came across a post to Jay Chen on "Booms Bust and Recoveries" (I think it had a different name then) dated 9/16/01, about listening to a memorial service at St. Patrick's Cathedral on NPR.
google.com

I was able to track down the memorial - it was held at St. Patrick's in New York City - and listened to the part I remembered best, the Agnus Dei, but cannot tell the composer, I am guessing Mozart? Probably not Verdi . . . .

At any rate, listening again to NPR on that date, I remembered how raw we all felt, and how confused.

It's sad to watch the mutual good intentions slip away into partisanship, but I guess it's inevitable.

Note where the NYT put Kerrey's comment re Clinton...And I hope the NYT and the voters, as well as the 9-11 Commission all review the PBS links again....

There were warnings about terrorists being in the US as far back as 1997......
