Precisely. What we see is a purely MILITARY response--as if there were no other considerations. The military's idea of pacification is probably something like: --you kill one of our guys--we will kill 100 of your people in the mistaken assumption that that will stop the opposition action. Anybody who has read the first page of any book about guerilla warfare knows that it DOES NOT WORK and simply IGNITES the opposition. A TOTAL lack of intelligence, strategy, skillful diplomacy. Unfortunately it will be seen as showing our true colors. Namaste! Jim
