Iraqi group threatens to execute 30 foreign hostages

The television station Al Arabiya quoted a representative of the group as saying that they had captured citizens of the United States, Bulgaria, Japan, Israel, Spain and South Korea.

"We have Japanese, Bulgarian, Israeli, American, Spanish and Korean hostages," a masked gunman said in an footage aired by Al Arabiya. But no hostages were shown.

He threatened to decapitate the hostages if the U.S. troops did not end the siege of Falluja. He also said that the group was assuming responsibility for the death of four American servicemen in Iraq.

Al Arabiya said the footage handed over to it had shown a maimed body of one person.
