The entire Texas energy cabal conspired to create the huge gouging phony energy crisis of 2000-2001 with at least partial support from the Bush-Cheney camp. Now that Enron, Reliant, Dynegy and El Paso have been busted that's half the crooks. But that's not the whole gang and doesn't answer to question as to how Cheney-Bush denied the crisis was a fraud and refused to step in and do anything about it despite their obvious enormous clout within the energy industry. They also promoted Enron's PR lobbyist Ed Gilespie to the head of the RNC. His job for Enron was to blame the energy fraud on Grey Davis and cover up the crimes. I just hope California finally gets its reimbursements. This also vindicates Grey Davis. Enron, Reliant and company created the 20 billion in extra energy costs, not Davis. He was the victim.
