Just another observation.

We have a new live in nanny and I had to hook the television and cable box up in her room. I turned the set on and explained the guide and it became very quite apparent that one either has a printed TV Guide magazine and directly dial to a show, or one uses the EPG and take notes as the scrolling continues, or one uses the IPG. There does not appear to be any other practical way to enjoy television other than to either only have a few favorite stations and never look elsewhere, or tediously channel surf through 300 some channels, and even by then the ones you've already been through have probably changed shows, assuming you did not surf over them during a commercial break.

Not a matter of the value of the technology, it is a matter of how well it can be monetized.
