Yesterday we bought our first bottle of Old Rip van Winkle Handmade Bourbon - the ten year old. Oh, my. It is so good that I whimper with pleasure and have tears of joy in my eyes just tasting it. Heavens, it's tasty. Single malt scotch - well, yes, depending on the scotch. Dalwhinnie, Talisker and Macallan, yes. Laphroaig, no, thank you, not for me. But artisanal bourbons and top quality cognac are likewise ambrosia. Nice not to have to choose between them.
