<The Ferrari's kinetic energy = 0.5 x 1.5 x 300 x 300 is only a third of the truck's 0.5 x 30 x 50 x 50.

67,500 units versus 37,500.

Oooops, I edited to make the figures more explanatory and neglected to change the "only a third" bit, which is wrong. Call it a driving mistake - failing to keep left [which is what we do here]. My arithmetic collided with my words. Oh well. I wonder if CB will pick it up or will have given up at the first sight of numbers.

>>oath of citizenship.....which I suppose also applies to the USA president, senators and congressors<<

Mq: Those who are born in America never take this oath - only naturalized American citizens, as part of the naturalization ceremony.

The day I became a US citizen was one of the high points of my life. There were perhaps two hundred people in the room, a veritable cross-section of global humanity, united in their hope for a life better than the one they had left.

I was surprised and touched by the genuinely warm welcome extended to the roomful of new Americans by the INS Director officiating. I don't have a copy of the text of his remarks, but this is quite similar:
pbs.org
>>Dear Citizen, just as no person is perfect, America is not perfect. I've learned that America may not always live up to my expectations. But the more I live up to her expectations, the more she delights me. America has always been and continues to be the land of opportunity, where an individual can achieve the "impossible." So embrace America fully. Believe in her. Make her your own. You are a new member of this American family ... and we welcome you!<<

Cruch, splat, energy and momentum conservation

I do think we - ie Mack & Ferarri & Honda & Yugo & Rabbit & Proton ... make your pick - are all driving on the same side of the highway, ie more or less the same direction, are we not? Head-on collision? I'd finesse the equation with a cosine of the angle of divergence[*]... We may even have to get our act together and drag the No-Names-mentioned-to-avoid-p*g-off-J6Px out of the ditch.
