<by the way US has already lost the war>

I don't think that has been decided yet but I do know this. If the Iraq rebels do succeed in persuading America to pull out of Iraq they will be the biggest losers in the long run if their standard of living or quality of life count for anything. If they want to be ruled as if this is still the 13th century then they win if America pulls out.

Myers admits that they knew this was going to happen when they closed the newspaper. The conspiracy theory angle is that they did this on purpose to:

- kill Sadr and his militia and quell any dissent
- push out the June 30th date and/or clamp down with more military force

The Bush WH doesn't even allow for dissent in its senior officials. It certainly isn't going to allow for dissent by Iraqis.

They are imposing American-style democracy in Iraq but they don't understand the basic meaning of democracy as they don't even practice it themselves. What they mean is that they are making Iraq, through military force, safe for BigDefense and BigOil.
