What you say is the best course for them. They should also surrender in Fallujah and work with the Iraqi council to seek the release of those captured in Fallujah.

But you never know. These radicals groups do not take their orders from one central entity. They are independent. If reports about release of Japanese hostages are true, then it is possible that the Japanese Govt. approach was not as arrogant as Bush's is. The Japanese are better at diplomacy and do not seek military solutions always. I wouldn;t be surprised if the Japanese promised a pullout within two months or so.
