I know. I had a very similar situation this past week, but it was in person, not email. She just shut down the conversation between myself and another, discussing the background of one of the so called news articles from the WPo. She didn't want me to tell the story of not knowing about the author, so decided to look, and turns out it was an attorney (one of the ten) on the Kerry campaign, who was asking for ALL of the "drafts" for something that Dr Rice had written. One had to look the man's name (Feldman, I think) to find that out. It certainly wasn't mentioned in the WPo article other than his name. Mary just didn't want to talk about "politics." And obviously she didn't want me to either. I felt like saying we fought a Revolution about issues like that in 1775, but kept quiet. Saddened, but quiet for now.
