blindbutmalodorous,

The real fighting is going on here in the United States

To some extent that is true. that's why the VietNam experience should be heeded. From your earlier #42167 post

We are crushing those bastards in Fallujah, and they're the ones who are crapping their pants for a way out.

If you believe that Tet was a great US victory in VietNam (as many ideologues do), then "You may be right". OTOH, those that believe that Tet was the beginning of the end in VietNam view these words as pregnant with implications.

"Do you know what this reminds me of?" Senator Joe Biden asked his Republican colleagues. "Only one similarity to Vietnam - the Tet offensive."

I understand. That's what Shrub, Quail,Cheney, Buchanan, Ashcroft, and DeLay all said about Nam.

Ok, so you are a chickenhawk. How about we both support our troops? I'll buy a ticket home for somebody who want to leave, and you buy a ticket for one, too.
