<all I am saying is there are no bearish set-ups and I stand by this.>

I took this as a general comment, not just about Ebay. I do however disagree, w/r to my style, if it was just about Ebay. When I do a count indicating something in a v of 5 ... that to me is time to sit up, if I'm interested in going the other direction. What I do depends on the level of confidence I have in my count. I have had enough succuess of late to have some confidence. My interest is over a longer timeframe than yours, hence the difference in interpretation.

then, with reference to INTC ....

<There is a bearish set-up there ...>

?????

Shack, not trying to nit pick you of all folks, but this is a little confusing.

My feeling is the general market is currently transitioning. If I was long, IT (which I am not), I would be using this period to move on out of the way. The risk/reward is rapidly going the other way here. However I am not really short yet either, only own a few LT C and JPM puts. For guys like you who do ST stuff, it is not quite the same.

There are a lot of different styles Shack. I like to get in at the bottom long, or top short, play a little and get most all of it. Others like you hit more of the shorter term stuff. Maybe Allan only hits the 3's. I dunno. Either way, the accuracy of our approaches, for each of us is quite important. The better the accuracy we have, the better we each do, with each of our individual methods. The correlation is very direct, on an individual basis.

Whose method is best and most profitable?

Heck I dunno and there is likely no best answer. It is pointless arguing about it.

My current method is what it is, and has to a certain extent been shaped by my more recent pm experience(s), and by my free time limitations. I do not do many options or even much ST stuff. For my style I have concluded that getting in at the top short, or the bottom long, is crucial to my performance. Take a pm stock that started at 50 cents, hit 4 dollars for the 1 and 10 for the 3. Would you rather have missed that whole 1, and only hit the 3? I presently prefer to get most of each wave, and sometimes am too patient in waiting for them.

I also believe sentiment important here, at this juncture. I make up part of that, just as you and everyone else does. You are free to interpret and use mine as you choose, as I am yours.
